The rabbit cave is a fully assembled, spacious house with two large entrances and exits. It is just as ideal for rabbits or dwarf rabbits as it is for guinea pigs. It is made of solid spruce wood, as this material does not contain any harmful substances and is 100% biodegradable - it is also safe for your pet to chew on. The rodent house is glued and stabilized with short nails (approx. 19 mm). These cannot be avoided, but were only used very sparingly; the main stability of the house comes from the glue. The edges of the boards are rounded to prevent injuries from splintering wood or sharp edges.
When used outdoors, it is advisable to treat the wood (eg with beeswax glaze) to protect it from moisture.
