Cat flap, cat door & cat net

Your inquisitive cat loves to explore, be it around your home or in the great unknown behind the fence. Give your brave cat the freedom to adventure as they please with a cat door.

More freedom with the cat flap

Cat doors are the perfect addition to a cat owner's home. They allow your cat to come and go as she pleases and give her more freedom.
Cat flaps help your lovely kitty maintain an active lifestyle and also help prevent accidents around the house.
Cats today are often raised to live and play indoors, but this does not suppress the cat's natural instinct to want to be outside. Because your cat loves feeling the wind and the sun on their fur, rolling in the grass and chasing bugs. With a cat door, your four-legged friend can go outside when you're not around or too busy to let them out. Choosing the right cat door depends on your individual needs and the needs of your feline friend. A cat flap fits in your door and allows your cat to get in and out easily. Depending on your needs, you can install a magnetic or an electronic cat door.

Do cats use the cat flap?

Most cats use a cat door, but your cat may need some time to get used to a new door initially. Younger and more adventurous cats often use cat flaps without coaxing, but you may need to tape the cat flap in place or prop it up initially, or remove the cat flap altogether.

How big should a cat door be?

A cat door should be large enough for your cat to comfortably fit through. Measure your cat's shoulder height and width and add 1-2 centimeters to each. This will give you the ideal height and width of the flap. Cats tend to be more agile than dogs and vary less in size, so exact measurements for cat doors aren't as important as they are for dog doors. Most cat doors are approximately 5.5" x 6.5" in size, but if you have a larger cat, they may need a larger cat flap or a small dog door.

Are cat flaps safe?

Cat doors are safe for pets and humans, and many have additional features that make them even safer. If you're concerned about small pets entering through a cat door at night, consider a cat door that locks or one with a security panel that you can install when you're away. With lockable doors, you can also restrict your cat's access to the outside at certain times. This is ideal if you're concerned about your cat getting outside at dangerous times or while you're at work. High-tech features such as microchip or collar activation ensure only authorized pets can enter and exit through the door. This keeps wild animals and other pets outside and keeps your pets safe and secure inside.

Safe on balconies and terraces

Lying, sun and rain protection - the little cat paradise on the balcony is done. However, the normal balcony panels are not an obstacle for any cat. They casually jump onto the parapet or scale the fence. Cat nets or grids protect against falling or exploring the wider area. A protective net secures the balcony. In the case of tenants, the owner must allow the installation.
